My Donor Cycle

Since my Yelp Review was removed, I am hoping that what I post here stays here. I am not sure if Yelp removed my detail review or if Lilly had it removed. First and foremost, Lilly Markowitz did actually refund all of our money with our agency. I did threaten her with filing a lawsuit against her for fraud and misrepresentation. The details are simple. Lilly had an employee work with us who lived in our immediate area. Her name was Samantha. We actually liked Samantha very much, we trusted her. What we did not know is that we were being guided to use particular donors through the website. We were coached... and it was obvious. As a former attorney, I research. In my research I found out that the women that were recommended as donors were all very clearly personal friends (and in one case the roommate) of Lilly's employee Samantha. Flag number one. When we ultimately decided on a donor, she got pregnant mid cycle. The second donor we picked had been up on her website and highly recommended to us by Lilly. This was after Samantha was "no longer" working for My Donor Cycle or Lilly. This 2nd donor was recommended by Lilly herself and we were told had been "vetted." We sent her to our RE and the second donor who had been "vetted" ended up being infertile. Move onto the 3rd donor, who also had been vetted but lived out of state and would cost us more.... who we picked, and then, of course, half way through everything, she backed out and didnt want to be a donor. I have never been through such an experience. Lilly Markowitz, (*Frost) of course said, "all this can happen and it can be a long process. This was a two year process with us with my donor cycle. Totally ridiculous. Lilly was completely unapologetic. If you want to read more about her, the type of agencies she affiliates with, merely google "planet hospital" and her involvement with Geoff Moss ... dig a little deeper and you will be able to find a lot more. In contrast, we did set up a meeting with SFdonor network, which I have nothing but wonderful positive things to say about... Truly wonderful experience from start to finish. Lilly is a business woman out for only herself. There is a big (HUGE) difference between someone who runs an agency who has been through infertility vs someone who has been a donor 5+ times and sees it as a money maker. Truly, I hope the US attorneys office in San Diego finds a closer link to her and planet hospital, charges her and sends her to prison. She preys on people who are in a tragic situation and uses it for her profit. She honestly should be ashamed, but people like her often have no sense of wrong vs. right. ...read more

Lilly, you lack ethics, good morals and have only had your interests at heart throughout the time I've known you and worked with you on a cycle. You essentially got sloppy with my process and when the cycle didn't workout due to your lack of attention and your carelessness, you had the nerve to yell at me and tell me it wasn't your fault.... when I asked for money back, you rattled off all sorts of excuses over and over, never apologizing or showing any concern or care for your failings. If it were my business, I would have refunded my customer then and there but as I can see in these other reviews, many others have had issues with you as well Lilly. You really don't care about your clients - donors or intended families. You are completely out for yourself and I would say you are one of the most insensitive, uncaring, narcissistic people I've ever met. Regarding the lack of your ethics, my donor had tested positive at Stanford for Chlamydia in May of 2012 . You told me I could use her but had to go to another clinic. As you know my cycle was set for Sept 2012, only 4 months later. The guidelines for a donor w an STD is to treat them and wait a year before using them again. You did not do this Lilly. You knowing the donor had tested positive for Chlamydia should have pulled her out of your database right then and there but you didn't! You tried to hide it and moved my cycle to another clinic where the donor could have all her tests re-run (on my dime). This was and is against Federal Guidelines and you know it Lilly but as I have mentioned above, you really have no ethics and care about one thing and one thing only.... $$$$!!! I can't believe you haven't been shut down with the way you behave! ...read more
