Soul Performance is a great shop that caters to everyone, beginner to expert, soul surfer and shredder. Why get a board made in a factory when you can talk to Mark and get something you can truly cherish. I just had to tell him what kinds of waves I wanted to ride and where I wanted my surfing to take me. The board came out perfect with custom airbrushing that was beautiful. I have purchased 3 bikes in the last year and a half from this place. In addition we buy our inner tubes, handle grips, helmets and more from there as well. Today I sent my 13 and 10 year old over to have a loose goose neck and chain tightened on a bike that we purchased from them 6 weeks ago. It's early Sunday morning and he told the boys that he can't do it for at least 2 hours. This repair job would take him 5 minutes and there was no one else in his store, but he was too busy building new bikes that he hadn't even sold yet! I try to keep my business in the neighborhood (to avoid the Wal-mart effect) but when they are too busy to help a couple kids whose parents ""paid"" for the personal service of a neighborhood establishment, it's very disappointing.
