We put down $15,000 earnest money on a lot at their Del Webb Woodbridge Community in Manteca, California. We had a 60-day contingency to sell our home. Before the 60 days was up, the sales rep called and said he had a person wanting to buy our lot and was offering us cash. He asked if we would give up our lot. We agreed and signed a cancellation agreement that said we would have our $15,000 refund within 3 to 4 weeks. It is past that and the sales rep will not return our calls. When we manage to get hold of him, he lies about the status of the check. Last week he told us that th3e check was being cut on Wednesday and we should stay home because it would be sent certified and we would need to sign for it. We stayed home Friday and today, Monday. Of course, no check. When you call the Pulte offices in Pleasanton, California, you can only get voicemail to leave a message. My next step is to go to the California Department of Real Estate. We were actually thinking of still buying in that development even after he asked us to give up our lot. But, there is no possible way I would buy from Pulte now. Not Pulte anywhere.
