My daughter attends Little Oaks and LOVES IT. It's a very clean, bright and happy place. The staff is very understanding and helpful. The kids are happy. I was so relieved when I finally found a child care for my two little boys! I searched for quite some time before I found one that I was happy with, where I knew my boys would be safe, where I knew my boys would be loved, where I knew my boys would learn and have fun!!! I had been interviewing places after places and going into many different homes and businesses when finally I entered the Little Oaks Montessori!!! I knew at once that this was the place! My mind and heart were instantly calmed as I watched the staff interact with my boys from their very first meeting. She is extremely engaging and has an obvious heart for little ones! She has a background in Montessori schools, so she not only cares for my boys, but also guides them developmentally in their learning through fun and engaging activities. My boys come home singing, dancing, counting, coloring, eager to sit and "read" through books. We saw a significant change after enrolling our daughter and first child in Little Oaks. Tiffany did a great job with her, was extremely patient, the work was evident in her in the way our daughter behaved at home and with family. I was surprised to see the other review on here because it doesn't sound like the same school. We checked out Little Oaks (on Petaluma Blvd.) carefully and they seem extremely organized; we have met with the director (who does have a Ph.D.) several times and she is the opposite of being "jittery and lost"--she was very knowledgeable and organized, and impressed both of us and the grandparents. And they are certainly set up to accept kids in diapers. We started our son there before he was 19 months old, and he is still there. My eldest has just started kindergarten and because of the independence and confidence she learned in the Montessori program, she is already taking a leadership role in her new class and showing signs of being far ahead of the other children in not only academic skills but life skills. At home, both my daughters, 5 and 3 push chairs in, put dishes in the sink, wait for their turn to talk and take ownership of their items. They learned this at home and have it re-enforced daily in their school lives at Little Oaks. We enjoy the teaching staff.
