I called this Pasadena jewelry store to ask the price to change a watch battery and was told "$7.50." I went in, had the battery changed in about 15 seconds, gave him my credit card and was charged $8.50. I asked why it was $8.50 when he had told me $7.50 over the phone. He said "Most watches are $7.50, and maybe if you used cash it would have been $7.50." I said that I wished he had told me that before. He had never told me that MOST watches were $7.50 and had never given me the option of paying by cash to get the lower price. Jared, my boyfriend of 6 years, proposed in August 2009 and we married in February 2011. I'll never forget when Jared got on his knee and asked me to marry him, of course, I said yes. I wanted matching diamond earrings so we went to J's Jewelry. When we showed up i couldn't believe that the owner remembered Jared and how friendly he was. I had to thank the owner for helping Jared pick the perfect ring. When I told him we were looking for diamond earrings he provided excellent customer service. He took his time showing me the different styles in the store and in catalogues and even offered to custom make earrings if I wanted. We got our wedding bands there too because of the wide selection and reasonable price.
