My dad spent about 2 months at this horrible place and I must say this facility was a nightmare. Every time we would visit which was 2-3 times a day the place always smelled awful, other residents were screaming for help, the nurses didn't know anything about my dad or act like they cared half of them did not speak English, and the "care" my dad was getting was less than what I would expect from a 2 year old. I asked a Nurses assistant if she would at least help me get my dad out of the clothes he had worn for the last 5 days (with stains, dirty, smelled) and the person just watched me do it myself . He also started to get bed sores. All I ever heard about was the Nurses saying how they don't get paid enough. My dad paid an awful lot to stay there and the "care" was not something I expected for the price. He is now staying at another care home in Oroville and we are very happy and proud of the care he gets now. I would not suggest Olive Ridge Care Center. ...read more
