I've had the unfortunate need to visit an inmate in this facility. Compared to my experience visiting in Sonoma County, it was a very pleasant experience. the staff treated me like a guest, whereas some detention facilities treat visitors harshly. At the Glen Dyer facility, the waiting area is large and well lit, with reading books offered to children by friendly volunteers. The hours are staggered so there are no crowds of frustrated loved ones competing for a place in line. You simply sign in and wait to be called.
