Then, when Freedman found out what was going on and stepped in, there was no game plan about what needed to be done. As baby boomers age and, especially given the economic difficulties of recent years, decide to keep working into their sixties and seventies, it's important to think ahead and plan for such potential health issues, she pointed out. "We have all these people in the race, they're all coming to the finish line, and they haven't given a thought about what's going to happen when they get there," she told the newspaper. So since we attended a conference in Las Vegas last week, I wanted to write about the ways that I helped market the business while I took a few extra days to enjoy Las Vegas. Set Email auto reply: Some people like to let their customers know they are leaving in a newsletter a week sometimes even a month prior to them going on vacation. That can be useful for business owners, but you must at least have a way to take care of your clients while your gone. So you must delegate your duties properly. Leave a auto reply email that will let people know who to contact if needed. Also try and make the auto reply email fun letting people know that they are taken care of. Email newsletters from vacation: Your email newsletter this week should be really fun for the readers. Make it short, since you are on vacation... Even though your newsletter should be shorter than usual you should also find the space to add in a few pictures or a link to your facebook page with pictures of your vacation. As long as you are not showing off and you have good intent behind showing your vacation pictures off then this will usually be one of the winning newsletters of the year! At least that is the case for us and most of the people I talk to. You should also only need to write this part of your newsletter because the other content should already have been written before you went on vacation. Pre-schedule your social media posts: Writing your social media content before you go on vacation is very important. Write your blog posts, newsletters, wall posts and tweets before you leave and assign someone to be able to post and reply for you while you are on your vacation. You can also monitor your accounts through your smartphone without taking to much time away from your vacation. Have your business card ready and Mingle: Schedule a little work time in on vacation and make sure you stick to it. Check your email and message once or twice a day. Also get in the mind state of mingling with the tourists and locals while on vacation. You should be ready with your business card if you are out and start chatting it up about what you do.
