First, I have to thank CCI as the experience was one of the best I've had. Honestly, I came in skeptical and unsure of what kind of knowledge I was going to gain but I was blown away. I personally have always been someone who smoked some marijuana and knew there are really no long term risks involved and understand the legalization of marijuana is coming so I should take advantage of the ground floor opportunity and listen to someone who has been in the game for over 20 years. Robert Calkin was 1st class all the way and shared all of the correct information that is needed to be successful while starting a marijuana business in these exciting times. He talked about his time in the business and little nuances that others might not see as an opportunity. I feel far more prepared than before after hearing him talk about why different strains are more important than others and how the lotions with CBD differ from others on the market ( I got a bottle and you do feel a difference in your muscles!). All in all a great experience and look forward to taking what I've learned and putting it into starting a successful marijuana business. ...read more

Contacted CCI about starting a dispensary. Was convinced by the owner to start a grow-op instead. He said he had enough customers that he was selling to to use their doctor's recs to use to operate. We had a meeting with someone who said they were knowledgeable about the industry and could get it set up legally. I moved to CA to being set-up. The person who he said was experienced, knew nothing about growing or running a grow operation. Also, I was NEVER provided any doctor's recs the whole time I was there. I am not even sure that this is legal now, and I should have know as the entire meeting was shady. I relied on CCI and the grower whom he put me in contact with to walk me through the whole process, and was lied to the entire time. The grower knew absolutley nothing, and I never had a profitable crop. I lost everything I had because of this company. When I brought my concerns to the owner, he laughed at me. Please beware and do much researh before you waste your money!! ...read more

OPEN A MARIJUANA DISPENSARY!

If you are seeking to open a marijuana dispensary then Cannabis Career Institute is the place to go. We have assisted hundreds of people in opening their marijuana dispensary, marijuana collective or marijuana grow-op. To open a marijuana dispensary you must know the state and federal law and adhere to local ordinance. An open marijuana dispensary means the marijuana collective manager has done all his homework and found out what it takes to open a marijuana dispensary legally and with the permission of the community. A proper open marijuana dispensary is one that maintains its records and integrity. To close an open marijuana dispensary is easy for law enforcement to do if things are not done according to code.   If you see a sign that says "Open Marijuana Dispensary" you want to find a well-run, clean and professional operation. Not one that will make the neighborhood ashamed or feel like a den of iniquity. It should be one that you would be proud to bring your grandmother to. A well-managed open marijuana dispensary will be comfortable, well-lit, have a friendly and knowledgeable staff and be convenient to use. An open marijuana dispensary will have edibles, concentrates and a variety of indicas and sativas. If you open a marijuana dispensary you will be surprised at how much it is like any other retail operation. So, if you have a background in retail business or are already the owner of a corporation, there won't be much you aren't familiar with. Your open marijuana dispensary will be run with much of the same rules and regulations a "normal" business has.   The typical open marijuana dispensary has the normal concerns of the average neighborhood business. Is the signage offensive? Is the business adding anything to the community? Are they contributing the way an open marijuana dispensary should? Do they serve the homebound and terminally ill? Is this an open marijuana dispensary that has quality product and offers counseling and one on one consultations? If you go to Cannabis Career Institute you will learn that these things are all a major part of how you will be perceived in the community. You must do things that will let people know you are a responsible open marijuana dispensary. Things like cleaning up the trash or dog excrement in the neighborhood or feeding the homeless in the area will go a long way toward showing the people of your community that you are serious about making a positive impact. ...read more
