Did You Buy A HOT Toyota Tacoma In Los Angeles County?

5 men suspected  of steeling 50 to 75 Toyota Tacomas are now being held in the Los Angles County Jail. Not only did they allegedly steel a whole heck of a lot of trucks, they forged all the documents for these trucks in order to resell them. License plates were also switched out. Most of the trucks were targeted to sell to Latino buyers who had know idea they were stolen. Can someone say, CARFAX? Areas in Los Angeles County where most of the cars were sold are, Anaheim, Fullerton, Orange County, Santa Ana, and Tustin. All 5 suspects are being held on $500,000 bail each. So beware if you are shopping around for a late model Toyota Tacoma and do your due diligence and check it out. It's usually free to run the VIN number and get a car fax. If the auto dealership or person selling the car doesn't offer a free car fax, that should be the first red flag that pops up. ...read more
