I only know that the 2 dogs I adopted from Friends of Animals happen to have been awesome. They both lived in our home for almost 14 years and both recently passed. Lola, my pitbull, slept in my bed the entire time. I had no idea that a pitbull was the most affectionate breed I've ever experienced. I have never been ""behind the scenes"" at the FOAF so I don't know anything that gives me authority to support or refute others' opinions. ...read more

Fact Animal Services ordered a dog be euthanized Fact Animals have been horaded at FOA a large number for over five years Fact Dogs are rarely walked Fact Animals are rarely given medical treatment Fact Animals are yelled at on a daily basis Fact Animals live in unsanitary conditions Fact You can verify with LA City Hall or visit Friends of Animals at the address listed above if you do not believe anything in this review. I encourage you to volunteer to walk a dog since the staff at this shelter does not care about the health of the animals and walking a dog daily is the number 1 requirement for a dog needs on a daily basis not be be caged like a prisoner. Fact If you do volunteer please ignore the volunteer who is: Female, over weight, pathetic, needy, over bearing diarrhea of the mouth, that no one can stand even the staff has problems with her.
