Good Sam Emergency Road Service

My husband has been using Good Sam for years, and we've had SO MANY PROBLEMS. The worst was when our car was towed away and impounded by the police after it stalled in the road and Good Sam didn't send a tow truck out in a timely fashion. The operator actually laughed when I told her the police impounded our car. Moreover, Good Sam wouldn't pay for the tow bill or the impound. Today, Good Sam told me that I will have to wait two hours for a tow (even though I live just a few miles from Tacoma, and their are HUNDREDS of tow companies in the area.) Why? Because they stick to their list of dirt cheap tow companies. Also, Good Sam will only tow you to the nearest repair place, not the place of your choice in the vicinity. In contrast, when we broke down recently while traveling in Seattle with my sister, she used her AAA roadside service and had our car towed 25 miles to the shop we had a warranty with on the broken starter.
