Let me start out by saying that Dr. Winston is VERY good at what he does, and he is a kind doctor (in fact, he's probably the reason why I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1). BUT, if you're looking for an overall positive office visit or experience, this center is not exactly the warmest environment. Several of the staff at this office are cold and very business-oriented. In addition, they are very focused on being on the computer a lot of the time. This would not necessarily be a bad thing, except for the fact that it causes them to lose that personal experience with patients. Also, unlike other offices I've been to, it seems as though this center is MUCH more concerned with money than with overall service to patients (even when it comes to simple "follow up" appointments). \t\n\t\nI was referred to Dr. Winston through my Optometrist. Premiere Imaging of La Mirada

1 star rating. Should be 0. My wife was told twice by Premier's office prior to her appointment that our insurance card would cover procedure, but it turned out to be false. Premier even took and copied her insurance card both times. We were later billed for $250, which our insurance will not pay. She could have gone to Whittier Hospital (one mile away), and had the procudere done there, which woudl have been covered by our insurance. Premier threatened collection if we didn't pay up. Now, we are out $250 that we sorely need because someone at Premier gave us false information and was too lazy or incompetent to do his/her job. ...read more

DearDr. J. Winston,\t\nHi. I wanted to have your e-mail address so that I could write to you sbout my proposed surgeriy in Sept.'-7 for cataract & Glaucoma. Lately I have been found to have had Missing Beats or Cardiac Arrhythmia for that condition I am required to take Bl - Thinner Camoudine/wrpharine for one month till Sept. 15 when further check up would be done to see whether all is OK. So I would not be able to go in for surgery which needs stoppage of B- Thinners even aspirin one week before the sutgery. I have already informed your Asstt. / Nurse I/Charge Cathey of this development. So I think I could go in for Eye surgery in Oct.'07 only. I have already colected some Medication Bag with Goggles etc when some measurements were taken.\t\nBest regards,\t\nOmkar Wali. ...read more
