It's about fricken time I found somebody who gets right to the point about corvette vacumn systems. During the 2010 Winter Nationals I stopped by Steve's shop. I asked about my 69 corvette wiper door system. Steve layed it out plain and simple,to the point.I learned more about fixing my system in 10 minutes (from Steve) than all the so called experts in Montana combined. Wheeler's came highly recommended from a local tire shop. The people are very nice and seem to do great work on some very cool cars and trucks. My experience with them was not so good. First they claim to be all inclusive when in fact they are not. Case in point, they installed a front coil over and I had to get the alignment. It would not have been bad except it took me 4 alignment shops (and a set of front tires) before the last shop was able to dial it in. I also had my carburetor overhauled, which they sent out. When it came back (some $300) later the choke still didn't work and that is why I had it fixed. They sent me to the carb overhauller who I gave up on after three tries. Wheeler's also charged me for a brake light sw and labor to fix an electrical problem where my car would die (like the key had been turned off). The next day it happened again - they said they were too busy to fix it and no refund. It would have been very nice if Wheeler's took ownership of their repairs. ...read more
