Rain

Its Monday December 7th and it's a rain day.In weather like this we can't work outside. The trees are slippery and you you can't do a good clean up. I hear that their is a small El Nino brewing out in the Pacific so expect more rain then usual in the Spring.If it turns out to be a wet spring Oak pruning will have to be put off a bit till July or so.The moist weather creates an environment for "Witches Broom" a type of Mistletoe that affects California live oaks. The Station Fire has created a mud slide problem for those living along the foothills and the extra rain,though needed,is going to create some problems.One benefit though is the rain will hopefully wash away a lot of that ash that keeps getting into everything.I have a client who's pool just can't stay clean.And every time the wind picks up it  the air quality gets real bad.... ...read more
