I am very unimpressed with this agent, and what I believe is highly unethical behavior. I visited the office in March 2014 for a quote on insuring a motorcycle I had just purchased. The quote was reasonable, so I signed up AND PAID on the spot for the policy. A few weeks later, I received a letter from StateFarm advising that as an additional $54 had not been paid, my policy would be revoked in within 2 weeks. I returned to Marks office, and was advised that they had incorrectly priced the policy and that their underwriting department had therefore added an additional fee that I would be liable for. Mark went on to blame state of California for dictating the price of premiums, and said that although they had made an error, I was still liable to pay the extra amount otherwise my policy would become void. This is like purchasing a new car, and the dealer calling you 2 months later to tell you they made a mistake and you must therefore pay them another $1,000 to keep your car! I think this is a highly unethical and deceptive practice, and I have therefore requested a full refund on the policy (have not received it at time of wrtiting) and will be taking my business elsewhere from here on. ...read more

I made a payment last month that has been withdrawn from my account. When I called to make a payment today I was informed that my policy has been cancelled and I owe a $55 reinstatement fee because I didn't pay last month. I explained to them I did make a payment and that I had received a authorization code from the rep. The person I spoke to today advised me that they do not use reference numbers anymore so she could not look up the payment i made that way-she asked for a reference number. The rep I talked to last month didn't give me a reference number. No one I spoke to could tell me where the money I paid last month went, they just knew that they did not send an SR22 to the DMV and now my license has been suspended again and I don't have any insurance, even though I paid it. I have been on the phone with representatives trying to solve this issue. Phone calls don't work, I just get moved on to the next persons and no ones seems to know how to find the money I paid. ...read more
