The worst hair experience I have ever had. I found this salon on Groupon and saw they had received good reviews. I was excited to get my hair done. I had purchased the full highlight and cut. First, my highlights we done only as a partial. Jennifer proceed to tell me that this is how she does full highlights, she said she added four more foils past the crown. Upon washing my hair she did not rinse the top of my hair and left conditioner in. After my hair was dry the top of my head was so greasy with conditioner/product it looked like I had not showered in days. She also forgot to cut my hair while it was wet and decided to do a dry cut. Not a problem, except for the fact my layers looked like shelves. She asked to use thinning sheers to blend my hair as she knew she had made a mistake. We proceeded to try and correct the problem. I felt horrible asking her to please just stop cutting as it was only getting worse and if someone else in the salon could fix my hair. She said her sister was the owner of the salon and promised she could fix it this weekend as I am leaving for vacation this Tuesday. I had agreed. Before I left she cut my hair to the last layer so I would have a half way decent hair cut until it was fixed. She could not even cut my hair even and one side was a half inch longer than the other. I called the next morning to schedule with Lane. I spoke with Jennifer and she promised her sister would call me within the next 10 minutes as she was on her way into the salon. This was at 10:30 in the morning. At 2:30, I still did not receive a phone call. I tried getting a hold of Jennifer with no luck, so I called the phone number off Google search and reached Lane the owner of the salon. She asked me to call her back in 20 once she could look at her schedule. Called back in 20 minutes with no answer. Called back after another 20 and she finally answered. She said she could get me in on Sunday after Jennifer fixed my highlights around 3:30. At 3:25 on Sunday as I am pulling up to the salon I get a call from Jennifer saying her sister can’t make it. At this point I was livid. I feel as if this is the worst business practices. If you have to cancel at least let me know before I drive all the way to the salon. Jennifer offered me two “solutions”, one to come back after my vacation during her normal business hours or two go back and have Jennifer try to even it out. I pointed out that on Friday she had already cut my hair to the last layer to remove the “hole” in my hair as she put it. She was offended that I accused her of not remembering what happened on Friday. Needless to say it was now Sunday at 3:30 and out of options to get my hair corrected before I leave for vacation Tuesday morning. I ended up going to Great Clips where they fixed my hair. The girl correcting my hair had to take about another inch off my hair to even it out. At this point I have already lost 4 inches of hair. In addition, to add salt to the wound the lady at Great Clips even commented on how poorly the highlights were done and apologized they did not do color or she would have tried to fix that too. ...read more

This family owned nail spa is located in the Lumberyard on 101 in Encinitas and is so pleasant I won't go to any other place. I have been coming here for 11 years now. It's very clean and pretty. The atmosphere is one of happiness and the pedicures and manicures are excellent. They have wonderful nail colors too. When you leave here, you will feel better about yourself than when you came in. Heavenly Nails in Encinitas is the BEST nail salon in Encinitas, San Diego North County. Theresa and Le are very expert with pedicures and all forms of manicures.
