In a second attempt to sell my timeshare I went with Vacation Tree due to their so called claim for a guaranteed sale or they will buy it at " fair market value". After the i year listing was up and following their instructions of writing them for a written offer after 10 months of no sale, I finally got a written offer 5 months later. The offer I received for a time share that is currently selling for approx. $35,000. was an offer from them of $99.88 Along with what they called their fair market documentation was only an ebay auction with still 9 days to close and 9 bidder and it was a charitable donation. Not exactly a fair market comp. When I called up to discuss this with them they simply said this was a final offer and hung up.I intend on moving forward with a class action suit to put an end to this type of scam. Same story. I spent $1200 for them to sell my property within 10 months. Of course it did not sell. I did all my paperwork for them to buy it from me. I was sent a letter telling me it would take 8-10 weeks. It's been 17. I just got off the phone with them. Guess what? They told me to call back in a month. I told them I would and that I would also report them to the better business bureau. Which I will. I told them they are a scam company and have me on a merry go round. I WAS PROMISED THE SALE OF THE TIMESHARE FOR TOP DOLLAR BETWEEN $12K AND $15K, NOTHING HAPPENED OF COURSE IN THE 10 MONTHS SO I WROTE TO THEM AS REQUESTED FOR THEM TO PURCHASE.EVEN IN DECEMBER I WAS TOLD BY THE GAL AT THEIR SO CALLED CORPORATE OFFICE THAT THEY WERE STILL SELLING ON THE AVERAGE OF $75 TO $85 DOLLARS A POINT. I HOLD 72 POINTS. IT TOOK OVER 4 MONTHS TO RECEIVE AN OFFER OF $79.00,PAY ALL MAINTANENCE FEES FOR 2012 AND A $500 TRANSFER FEE...ARE THE KIDDING!!! THEY PULLED COMPS FROM EBAY.....EBAY IS NOT FOR RESALE OF REAL ESTATE OR TIMESHARES AT FAIR MARKET VALUE, THIS COMPANY IS NOTHING BUT A JOKE, LIARS, AND THIEFS TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. I WOULD LIKE TO START A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST THEM....THEY NEED TO BE STOPPED AND PAY ALL OF US WHAT WE WERE GAURANTEED AND PRESSURED INTO.
