Wedding Entertainment in Orange County
Over the years, we have encountered many different professionals in the Wedding arena. Some we worked with as a Vendor, supplying an entertainer, and other times, we were the ones putting the event/wedding together and hiring Vendors. Either way, a wedding is a very specific animal. There are a myriad of variables involved with Weddings. Everything from the Ceremony and Ceremony location to the time after and before the reception, and then the biggie-the reception. And it all has to be PERFECT! A while back our CEO, James wrote a blog entitled "The Wedding Singer - Weddings and Receptions" . It primarily discussed the Weddings from the first person. Meaning, you, being the person planning the wedding. Some "dos and dont's" based on his experience as a wedding singer/performer over the past 15 years. The thing that he emphasized was "entertainment". A pretty good size of a wedding budget should go to entertainment. Why? Because it's the last thing your guests will remember...it's the largest chunk of time your guests will experience the entire time they are with you. So...it should also be one of the biggest parts of your budget. Consider, the candid Youtube videos, the photos and all the now accessible high-quality media every has in their pocket. They will be filming and they will be taking pictures during your reception. The trend lately is to be original...unorthodox. That's why we now are seeing weddings taking place in Barns, in unusual places with unusual timings and dresses. Unusual and un-thought-of entertainment...We think that's great. Wedding Bands: Touchy. Make sure you and your betrothed agree completely on the band and what they are going to play. So many "wedding" bands can't play the range needed for the type of guests invited. This is a major consideration. Know your guests. The party is for them too. And if you want them to stay, playing Rap at the beginning of your reception will probably send a few of the old fogies home early, feeling left out. You invited them, now you have to entertain them. We like a good DJ for weddings. We offer all kinds of entertainment, including some great Wedding Bands. But if you have a wide range of age, then a fab DJ can cover it and make everyone happy. Surprise entertainment. Spontaneous entertainment, not on the program is always fun if tasteful and short. We do not recommend your cousin to get up and sing a song with his guitar. That's something different. And that will be discussed another time...We mean something like Singing Waiters. They can be fun and really entertain all of your guests in one swoop.
