We had a client call us this Monday, Nov. 15th needing 6 framed mirrors with 1" bevels showing to be installed by today, Friday the 19th. He was hoping to have them before noon when his prospective buyer would arrive to view the remodeled home for sale. I thought it would be interesting to mention unique framing projects which we design and fabricate at our Costa Mesa location. A long- standing client brought in a life sized hammer cast in wax for framing. After getting her input for the design, I remembered some macro photos that I took of a telephone pole with all the nails, screws,staples attached. What a perfect backdrop for the hammer to rest on in addition to the burlap fabric. She chose the natural wood finish for the shadow box frame, we added museum quality ultra violet filtering plexiglass to protect the photos from fading, and VOILA! ...read more
