About Coachella, CA
Coachelle, which has several nicknames including Coachello, La Coachelita, the City of Eternal Sunshine, and Cochele, is a city located in Riverside County, California. It is part of the Coachella Valley as well as the Palm Springs Area. The city is mostly rural with a few retail areas. It is one of the state's fastest growing cities. Students here attend the Coachella Valley Unified School District. Other schools in the area include the International University of San Diego-Coachella Valley and Mayfield College. Coachella is home to numerous attractions such as Bagoudma Park, Coachella Boxing Club, Augustine Casino, the Red Earth Casino and the Spotlight 29 Casino. Annual events held in Coachella include Cinco de Mayo, September Fiestas Patrias and the Coachella Music Festival. Numerous famous people have ties to the city including film director Frank Capra and professioal boxers Antonio and Julio Diaz.
