Summer camp - Irvine, San Clemente, CA
Educational Chess is inviting all kids and teens to join the summer camp in Irvine and San Clemente, CA . This summer day camp is an academic camp which is unique, creative and fun. It is called the Da Vinci Chess Camp and Art Camp. It is based on methods used by Da Vinci and it adds a new and fun spin on learning chess and art- by exploring some of the Renaissance man's methods of learning. Campers will learn art by using analytical observation and improve their chess skills by using creative problem-solving. This camp is the creation of Educational Chess. Recently, it was discovered that Da Vinci, in addition to being a scientist, and artist, and an engineer- might have been interested in chess, as well- according to the chess diagrams he drew on one of long-lost manuscript pages found recently. Thinking creatively and using analysis, plus a deep love and respect for Da Vinci's legacy and innovative methods of learning are part of the philosophy created and taught by Educational Chess. This summer camp is in two locations: Irvine and San Clemente, CA. It is a half-day camp- part chess and part art. For all levels- beginning, intermediate and advanced. Age groups- kids and teens.
