Rain itself will not generally hurt your pool. What the rain brings with it however can. Rain washed dirt, debris and millions of worms into your pool/spa. These creatures, if not removed, can cause discoloration, staining, and a ph imbalance. If your pool is equipment with a good pool cleaner (Navigator, Pool Cleaner, etc) this can help drastically if it is working properly.
