Beale AFB, named after frontiersman Edward Fitzgerald Beale, is a United States Air Force base in the Yuba County region area of California near Marysville. Beale AFB is known for its U2 and Sr-71 Blackbird Aircraft, Global Hawk unmanned surveillance craft and the 9th Reconnaissance Wing. Major attractions include the nearby Spenceville Wildlife and Recreation Area and the Coyote Run Golf Course. Each year in the fall, spring and summer seasons the Coed Adult Softball league plays, and in the spring season the Beale AFB Little League also plays.
