By The Blade started as a simple idea: a teenage kid with a lawnmower. Things grew, as they have a way of doing, and this summer job became a business venture. Then it became a way of life.
Twenty years later, Patrick Vogt owns and operates By The Blade lawn and landscape. His team cares for hundreds of families throughout the Metro. In 2009 he purchased Rainbow Irrigation to become a complete landscaping service. And in 2012-2016, they were selected as the Kansas City Symphony Showhouse outdoor landscape design providers.
