The Tranquil Timbers campground is a peaceful place to relax, to see nature's beauty and just have fun. We are located on a 75-mile long peninsula known as one of the nation's premier vacation destinations with 5 state parks and 10 lighthouses. Tranquil Timbers, a Door County RV resort and campground, is adjacent to Potawatomi State Park, which has beautiful hiking and biking trails and a boat launch. Tranquil Timbers RV Resort offers campers more than 250 spacious sites. No RV? No problem! We've got you covered: rent one of our pop-up trailers, cabins or yurts. At our Tranquil Timbers campground, you'll also find resort style amenities, 48 acres of natural beauty, endless activities and a HUGE welcome. Don't forget to bring your 4-legged family members with you to Tranquil Timbers (leashed and attended pets are always welcome at our RV resort). The Tranquil Timber campgrounds are located in Door County, which has more than 250 miles of big water shoreline and year-round fishing for walleye, smallmouth bass, giant northern pike, brooke and rainbow trout. Aptly named, Tranquil Timbers and its RV resort property lie between the sparkling waters of Green Bay and Lake Michigan among quiet forests and wooded paths. Being just minutes away from the best boating and water skiing in the state, this beautiful slice of Wisconsin offers something for everyone.

Tranquil Timbers, Crabby Front Desk Person

I have to agree with the stinky of the porta potties and the RUDE way we were treated. We prepaid and then 2 weeks later we checked in. They could not find that we paid. Wound up paying by credit card again. When I got home, found that we had 2 withdrawals made from our account and both prices were different. It is the middle of October and we still have not received refund. The check-in person was extremely rude. In fact, as all the kids in our very large group called her the Crabby Lady. And I witnessed this with several people, people that were not even in our group. She made everyone uncomfortable. She should be fun and kind, especially at a place that you look forward to having a good time. From the moment we got there until we left, she was mean. I think she hated her job. Maybe she should have cleaned the porta potties instead! We go to campgrounds so that we can have a hot shower and toilets. We pay for that convenience. There were 3 showers in the whole campground for the women, and they were dirty along with the three toilets. GROSS! We also were never told that the other bathroom was not working. \t\n\t\nWe will not be staying there again.

Sticking Up For The Portapotty Guy

I agree with the person complaining about the portapotties and lack operational batherooms. We were lucky to get there when the portapotty guy was cleaning and was really doing a great job! We asked him why they were so stincky before he got there? He explained that they were getting more use than intended and that was hard to keep up with, especially with the way people were treating his "personal property".We were amazed at how he transformed those dirty things into freshly cleaned "restrooms". I guess I,m sticking for the portapotty guy because of what Isaw he had to go through. It really is the campgrounds responsibility to pay for more portapotty service and fix their bathrooms. all in all our kids had a good time, but next time I think we are going to stay at Jellystone in Little Sturgeon.
