Terrible Service...go somewhere else

I went in here this week to buy some shoes and I wanted to support a local store. Like other reviewers have mentioned, I waited in the lobby for 20 minutes for someone to assist me. Finally, someone came to help me (there were a lot of customers in the store). The person who came up to help me did not believe me that I knew my own shoe size, was skeptical when I told him I wanted another size and basically tried to force the wrong size on me. He was also did not know the sizing conversions for the brand (he told me a 40 is a nine when the brand's site clearly says it is a 9.5 to a 10.) Will not come back here. Disappointing.

Unfortunately very poor customer service!

I couldn?t believe the poor service that I had at Schuler?s today (3/16/2008) that I felt I needed to share. Not one person said hello or even approached me as I was looking around for ~20 minutes. Surprising myself I found a clearance shoe that I thought I?d pick up. I decided, well I?ll proceed to the checkout & just purchase the clearance shoe and comeback another day or two when I goto Trader Joes for my Merrell shoes since noone was willing to help me. The check out line was long & slow. One lady walked up to their 2nd register on the tennis shoe side of the store and waved a teen over that was standing next to me. I actually decided to follow & I know the lady at the cash register saw me because we made eye contact when I walked up behind the teen. I waited patently. I actually had my credit card out ready to purchase when the teen & his mother were done. When it was my turn, the lady at the register looked at me snotty like & said, ?I can?t help you. I have to help someone else.? I literally felt like chop liver. Here I was walking around the store with a shoe in hand, I even stood in line to get help & the first thing I am told when I?m ready pay is ?I can?t help you.? Great. I look at the other line which is now longer then when I left and couldn?t believe this lady didn?t say this to me when she first made eye contact. I left the shoe on the counter & walked out. I couldn?t believe that she would?t help someone who was literally ready to pay or at the very least find someone to help me. I had been in that store at least ? hour (10 minutes in line) & nobody was willing to help me. I?ve always rather shop at local business than large department stores, but I will not spend money somewhere that makes me feel crappy. You just lost a customer who easily spends $500+ dollars on shoes a year & used to recommend you. Now instead of recommending you I will proceed to let people know what a crappy experience I had & warn them not to shop at Shulers.
