I had an appt for a hair cut. Went in and when they were cutting my hair I noticed that their sink was filthy dirty. The hair brushes had white hairs all over them. They do not sterilized their combs! Nasty! The floors were very dirty in the corners. One of their drawers was open and I could see dust and hairs on the sides of the drawers.
The stylist did not style/cut my hair the way I wanted it. I paid $75. Pio did let me come back in the next day to correct the problem but wanted me to pay an additional fee. I have never had a salon mess up on my hair. It would be ok if they apologized but he did not. In the end he said he was going to charge me additional money. I PAID HIM $75 the day before when the girl did a horrible job.
DON'T GO THERE. IT IS A DIRTY PLACE, AND HE IS A THIEF! Plenty of other salons that are modernized and up to date and clean as a whistle. Stay away from Pio of Italy in New Haven, CT on Whalley Ave.
