Mayor Nutter,first off I believe you've been excellent in serving Phila. but I disagree with the deputy mayor's choice to buckle to demands made to take down the Christmas sign!!! I'm 62 years old and have lived here my entire life and have respected each persons religious choice but can't believe such a great city would deny Christians the right to celebrate their religious holiday. I know Jewish people who celebrate both Hannakuh and Christmas. Atheists have the right not to celebrate but they as well as other factions are stomping on our rights to celebrate our traditions. Help Mr. Mayor, I can't believe you can justify your deputy mayor's decision. He should be fired. If polled most people in Philly would opt for Merry Christmas not happy holidays. We were founded as a Christian nation and we encourage religious freedom but respect our freedom of religion too!!!
