Don't You Dare Break Your Appointment

Just to be clear: I broke my appointment. I straight up didn't show up and didn't call to cancel. Feel free to judge me.\t\n\t\nBut if you're like me and you tend to break appointments that strong salesy-type people convince you you ""need to make, because we book up months in advance"" and won't let you off the phone without making an appointment - you might have broken it too. And then I got a bill in the mail for $50.\t\n\t\nI had actually politely called to cancel my previous appointment, because frankly I only have room for one teeth cleaning in my annual budget. They'd convinced me to make one after I came in for 6 months later, to which I acquiesced, but cancelled when the day approached. Dr. Peritore's office strong-armed me into making yet ANOTHER appointment, which I broke because I didn't want to have to face them down about appointments again. Thus, the $50 fee.\t\n\t\nThey didn't warn me (that I remember) about this fee. I assume I signed something that said I'd pay it. I'll probably be a chicken again and just pay it, so they'll get their money out of me. But I'm leaving a review to warn everyone else, in case they fail to warn you too. Also to (hopefully) give you strength against their ""persuasive"" tactics for appointment churn.

Great Dentist

I have been going to Dr. Peritore for many years. First in his Brooklyn office when I worked in the city and now in Plainview since I live in Melville.
He is very clear and patient when describing issues which I appreciate. But of most importance to me is he manages to be virtually pain free. I'm not sure how he does it but I rarely ever feel pain when he works on me. Growing up I had many issues with my teeth and that made me pretty reluctant to go to the dentist as an adult. But luckily I found him and don’t fear it anymore. I have a great healthy smile.
