Currently we have a 13 plus year old conventional AC unit that is broken. JR Bolton came to my business to provide a price to install a new Mitsubishi ductless system. I was very specific in telling the representative NOT to skimp on the equipment. The reason we chose to go with Mitsubishi is because that is the top of the line equipment and our situation required the special application of a ductless system. With all the windows and equipment inside our cafe, we truly need 5 to 6 tons.\t\n\t\nThe sales representative ignored my request NOT to provide a quote on the minimum equipment. I explained to her my landlord would likely try and minimize the equipment going into our cafe. \t\n\t\nThe quotation I got was for Opt. 1 - one 2 ton unit for $4,900, Opt. 2 - One three ton unit for $5,700 and Opt. 4 One 4 ton unit for $12,700. Of course my landlord is now stuck on spending $4,900.00. If the JR Bolton Sales Rep had listened to my needs in the first place; my landlord would have agreed to pay up to $8,000.00 for a new system as a new traditional system would cost us about the same but we will have to shut down for at least a day or more to have all the new ducts and all installed. The day the sales rep came to my cafe to provide the quote I expressed these concerns to her and repeated myself a number of times. 5 weeks later, once my landlord agreed to spend the minimum quoted price I contacted the JR Bolton sales rep and expressed my frustration that she ignored my request NOT to under-estimate our needs. \t\n\t\nI asked her to lower there price on the $5,700.00 unit to cover her mistake. She not only refused to take responsibility for her error, she replied to me and stated that because she apparently mis-understood me, and our cafe truly needed a much larger AC system; JR Bolton would NOT install the $4,900.00 system. I called to speak with the owner Mr. JR Bolton but he refused to return my call. Now I am stuck having to start the whole bidding process again. We are loosing business and our products are spoiling do to the incredible heat inside our cafe. It is clear to me that she lowballed us so she would get the business.\t\n\t\nNow I'm looking at LG's ductless systems. They are thousands less and about the same quality. \t\n\t\nWhat JR Bolton did was kin to offering me a deal on a size 6 shoe when I'm a size 13. Not a good fit at all. JR Bolton is extremely unprofessional. Be careful!!!
