This vet called me to insult me when my sister-in-law had to make a decision about euthanasia for her cat. My sister-in-law is 24 years old and Dr. Brown told me that she acts like a 12 year old and no one should be allowing her to make decisions for the welfare of an animal. She insulted me for not having forced euthanasia earlier. She insulted my professionalism (I am a counselor) by saying that as someone in the counseling profession I should know that my sister in law is like a 12 year old. Mind you, my sister-in-law does not have any disabilities or mental impairments. She just struggled to make this decision and felt scared she would make the wrong one, so she asked for help from her family to make a joint decision. To insult a family for working together at a hard time when they struggle to say goodbye to an animal is unprofessional and insulting. To call someone struggling to do so "a 12 year old" is unexcusable. Find somewhere else to take your business.
