Best French food for miles

I've been going to this place since they opened about 4 years ago, have since moved but sometimes make the trip to the neighborhood for their delicious rosemary chicken, great pomme frites, tuna tartare, and creme brulee. Nice winelist, too. The chef and the manager/hostess are a warm attentive French couple and the wait-staff is adorable.

It's small and cozy and one of my favorite spots in the city1

Rude and pushy waitress

This place looked promising, I've had some wine there before and decided to take my out-of-town friends there. The waitress was extremely pushy and rude. She ruined what otherwise would have been a very pleasant evening. She almost shoved the plates into our faces and kept interrupting us mid-sentence. Eventually she poured some hot gravy from the steak on my friend's lap. She added a 20% tip to our bill (apparently they do it for parties of 5). While she was very impatient and pushy before we ordered, I had a hard time getting her attention later on when we needed some more wine. Ambiance cannot be created only by sensual photos of the female body, French accent and a push up bra --although these certainly help -- perhaps someone can educate her on manners? \t\n\t\nOnce we finished the food we were trying to enjoy our wine and talk, it was only 10 p.m. but she completely cleared the table -- took away even the flowers and did so in a very rude way. Then she made faces at her friend and said very loudly ""blah-blah-blah"" imitating our talk. This created an awkward silence at our table and we left shortly thereafter. Lastly, I must add that a guy from the kitchen who attended to our table a few times was certainly polite and attentive. Still, due to her rudeness, I felt bad for taking my friends to this place.
