....Even with the 60 off I would still be paying significantly more than I would at Lowe's. I went in this morning and told the salesman about it and he just said 'ok, I don't blame you at all'. What the hell? On the way out the door I'm thinking 'ok, 3 appliances and a few repair calls, plus all the smaller items I've purchased there and they weren't willing to budge to keep a customer? I understand he can charge what he wants, that's fine. But given the fact that they obviously never tested the original MW and were obviously seriously overcharging for the new one...I like to keep money local, but I won't this time and I won't do business with them again. I have a right to fight for my money just like they have the right to hose their customers, or in this case, ex customers.

Unreal

I've bought a few appliances and had them serviced from NW Hardware and have been pleased until recently. 4 yr old Whirlpool Microwave went out. I called, they came out, put a glass of water in the MW and said the magnetron is bad, that's 80.00. Fine, I understand service charges. They made no mention that magnetron was still under warranty, I found that out on my own. They got the part and installed it which would have been 80 more but they took 40 off the original service charge. Picked up MW and reinstalled and it still didn't work right which means they never tested it in the shop. I told them I would just as soon replace the MW at this point. They said he'd take 60 off the 120 I had spent to this point. Yesterday I went up to pick out the MW and they had one marked as "damaged" for 279.00 marked down from 319.00, full warranty included. I said I'd take that one. I got the model number for the new MW and checked Lowe's. Everyday price is 199.00 for same unit and it isn't damaged...
