Maryland Apartments

I moved to Corpus Christi in December of 2012. After driving all night I arrived at the Maryland Apartments and met Dawn at the office. First When I was looking for a place online I asked Dawn if it was located within walking distance to certain locations and of course she said yes. It wasn't... upon arrival Dawn had all the paperwork ready for me to sign. I asked to see the apartment first. We walked to the building the screen door was broken and had no screen and there was a strong stench of cat urine and air freshener in the hallway of the building. Walking to the building I noticed a large amount of stray cats EVERYWHERE! How wonderful she put me in the litter box building. After entering the apartment with Dawn and the maintenance man I discovered that the apartment was not yet finished and over run with roaches .lots and lots of roaches.100's. I refused to sign and asked for the return of my deposit. To date they have refused my request in violation of their own contract.

THIS IS BY FAR THE MOST DISGUSTING PLACE I HAVE EVER LIVED AT. THE MANAGER MS. F. DELGADO IS SO RUDE AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. NOTHING GETS FIXED. ALL WINTER WITH NO HEAT. HOLES AND CRACKS IN WALLS. FOUDATION IS SO BAD THAT HOUSE IS SLANTED.THIS COMPEX ALLOWED MY FAMILY TO MOVE INTO THIS UNIT WHEN IT WAS UNSAFE AND POSED A SAFTEY AND HEALTH ISSUE AND KNOWINGLY PUT US IN DANGER. AFTER 6 LONG MONTHS I HAD TO GET THE CITY CODE ENFORCEMENT INVOLVED. THE MOLD AND INFESTATION PROBLEM HAS CAUSED ME RESPITORTY PROBLEMS. BELL AND BELL PROPERTIES ALONG WITH WEBER SQUARE APARTMENTS OVERSEES THIS PROPERTY AND THEY BOTH HAVE FAILED TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEMS I WAS HAVING. THEY WILL GET YOU IN BUT ONCE YOU COMPLAIN, THEY WANT YOU OUT. EDUCATE YOURSELF OF YOUR RIGHTS. THIS WILL BE HELPFUL FOR ANYONE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THEIR LANDLORDS (SLUMB LORD) texaslawhelp.org or LEGAL AID. ATTORNEY GENERAL HAS ALOT OF INFORMATION THAT WILL BE HELPFUL AS WELL.. LOOK UNDER LANDLORD TENANT. TIME TO TAKE ACTION AND STAND UP FOR YOUR RIGHTS!!!!!
