This company is horrible. My air went

This company is horrible. My air went out Saturday and I called them to come take a look. They informed us of a $65 diagnostic fee, which we agreed to. \n\t\nThe guy shows up shortly there after, and it takes him about 15 min. to diagnose the problem. He tells us the labor will be 2-3 hours at $65 and that he will try to find that part used for around $200. He also informs us that he can't come back until Monday. Fine.\t\n\t\nFast forward to Monday, he is at our home for all of 15 minutes, and he fixes the problem. I was traveling, but my sister was home. She sends me a message saying the guy was finished and I was like wow, that was quick. I ask her how much I was charged and she tells me $668! I was shocked, to say the least.\t\n\t\nI call L&S and ask them what the charges are for. I am told that the part was $408 plus 4 hours of labor. Yes, you read right, 4 hours of labor! At this point I am livid, I tell the girl that 4 hours is not even mathematically possible since he arrived at 2 p.m. and we are on the phone talking at 2:45. She calls the technician and I am informed that he says he was there for 4 hours. \t\n\t\nShe puts a manager on the line and the story changes,now he says he was there for 2 hours on Sat. and that he had to prep for an hour and a half at the shop. Can we say bull sh**? The diagnostic fee was paid on that day, if they feel I owed anything it should have been addressed right then. Plus, he was only here 15 min. on Sat., so again, another outright lie. \t\n\t\nThese people are crooks, I am more that willing to pay for services rendered, but they are not going to take advantage of me. I told them the max I am paying is $408 for the part and $65 for two hours, which I think is more than fair. Please take your business else where, there are too many companies around to deal with this type of dishonesty.

worst ability and customer service

we had l&s come out tocheck our currently working units as it had been 3 years of good service from our air units and we wanted to make sure they were in good repair . the tech came and said that the one needed a charge and did so , the next day the compressor went out . they were called back and ordered a new compressor ,replaced and charged the unit only to be non functional within hours of completion , when i notified the company that it wasnt working they tried to blame it on dirty condenser and werent going to come look at it ... i made enough fuss that they agreed to come back and still when they showed up tried to say it was cuz of dirty condenser .. finally checked and found it to be from poor install .. now 0n the 3rd compressor and 4 days out of work and over a week and a half of non working air ... in short i would never use them, recomend them , and if i had more money id sue them for incompitence and my agravation .. unfortunately there isnt a negative number for a rating

Quick, Quality, Honest

Living in Phoenix, AZ, and had our A/C unit go down at 9pm. Couldn't find our warranty info, so we didn't get a service call into First American until 8am. \t\n\t\nAndy and Kyle were great! They showed up well before the 5 hour window expired (1pm to 6pm, showed up at 3pm) and were very friendly. Asked me a couple of basic questions and went to examine the unit. \t\n\t\nAndy checked out the basics first, and immediately diagnosed it as a bad capacitor (one of the cheaper issues). Whole call lasted about 15 minutes. A/C runs great again. \t\n\t\nAdditional note- Asked Andy what he thought about the unit overall, and he said it was in good condition and gave me a couple tips. He could have tried to make up issues to get money, but he was completely honest and very friendly.
