One star is too high for this service, I would have given them negative 20 if it

I shipped two bicycles from Newport RI to Sacramento, CA in September 2009. One bike made it the other didn't. When I called to find out where the second bike was they had no idea. Turns out they have no chain of custody control and anyone, anywhere can just walk away with your box at anytime and they have no way to know. So Angelo at the Newport Store can just put your box in his trunk, sell it on ebay and greyhound has no way to prevent it. Would have been nice to know that little tidbit up front.

Also when you call their "customer support", a term I use loosely, they couldn't care less. I spoke to the frontline service they could only send an email to see if anyone has seen the boxand tell me to file a claim. I spoke to the CS supervisor, no help. Moved on Frank Carroll, the area manager, left several messages, he didnt even have the courtesy to call back. Then I went to the General Manager, Greg Grassman, he talked all kinds of sweet and promised to call me back late

would rather carry the package across country than use this service
