Reviews about French Sandwiches
Good, Clean, Just Enough Food for the Money
I went after a co-worker said how great it was and subsequently researched online and found positive reviews. However, I'm not so effusive. Based on my first visit, I would rate this place a B. I will probably go back, but the meal lacked heartiness. I had the S-8 (Vegetable Sandwich) and a side of French onion soup. The soup was good, but nothing compared to Jason's Deli where I prefer to have my French onion. The onions were chopped (instead of julianne) and there wasn't much inside the soup. It had a wonton soup quality. My companion had the S-2 and liked it. The owner and his wife were working the place and he was very courteous and hospitable but not once did he offer a refill on my tea and that disappointed me. A few times he could see my glass was empty and didn't offer. If they are trying to save money, that's not the way to do it.

The Sandwiches are made with the freshest, finest ingredients you'll ever find. The soups are fresh made, and very hearty. Altogether the great service, relaxing atmosphere, mouth watering food and unbeatable prices create the perfect restaurant for a quick lunch bite or a gathering of friends. \t\nAnother good mark is the WOAI blue plate they have hanging on the wall next to their kitchen. \t\n\t\nYou cant find a better pricing for full meals anywhere else with such quality. A sandwhich, tea, pastery, and choice of chips, soup, or salad with homemade dressing for under $7! There arent enough words to describe the savory flavors, filling but not heavy food, and delightful dessert they serve. Great any day of the week. The only downside would be the hours. They're open for breakfast at 9am until 6pm.
