For the past 38 years, Dr. Leroy Vaughn has served the needs of patients with a variety of eye conditions. He graduated Morehouse College with a Bachelor of Science degree and received his Doctorate in Medicine from Wayne State University, with a residency at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis and a fellowship at the Eye and Ear Infirmary at Harvard University and the Eye Research Institute in Boston. He has also published a number of articles in professional ophthalmic journals. Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Vaughn has brought this knowledge and dedication to his work treating thousands of patients with eye disorders both in the United States and overseas. He was awarded the title of Chief Omeluoru by King Mbaukwu for multiple medical missions in Nigeria. Dr. Vaughn's distinguished work in Anambra, Nigeria earned him the ASA-USA Medical Missions Award in 2008. He currently practices in Inglewood, California. Dr. Vaughn offers patients a number of specialized services for treating diseases of the eye. He is renowned for his knowledge of diabetic retinopathy, the subject of an article published in the Western Journal of Medicine in 1982. His focus on eye problems associated with specific diseases have made him one of the top ophthalmologists in the country.
