My clutch burned down when I was driving on I-5 northbound to the Bay Area. I was stuck in Kettleman City. I called a buddy in San Jose to see if he could recommend any shops nearby to get it fixed. He said he knew a shop in Gilroy called E & E Automotive.
My insurance only covered towing for the first 18 miles and then it would have been $6 a mile. It's 150 miles from Kettleman City to Gilroy! The tow alone would have cost me $900! I called E & E Automotive and spoke to Leo. He said he would try to find me a less expensive. They sent a guy and the tow ended up costing only $300.
They changed my clutch and their labor charge was very fair and they got me a good deal on the new clutch.
I liked their work ethic and quality so much that I left my car in the shop to get a full tune up, oil change, and new tires; mind you, they don't regularly do tires but they go out of their way to serve the customer!
I highly recommend E & E Automotive for anyone near the Southbay
