Takes time to speak with patients. Accurately fixed many friends and family members allergy problems. Very nice and easy to get along with. Staff is generally nice. Appointments have always been on time and you are not stuck sitting there wondering if they forgot about you like many other offices.

Dr. Chen is a horrible doctor and caused my quality of life to suffer for many years due to his poor diagnoses. I first visited Southwest Asthma in 2003 and was tested and found to be allergic to cats which I have lived with my entire 29 years of life. I told them on that day my brother has two cats and would continue to be around them until moving away from them and was given Zyrtec D and nasal spray to treat the allergies. This worked for a couple years but then things took a turn for the worse. I started having fatigue/nausea symptoms constantly and got retested and found to have the same allergy to cats. He prescribed me the sme stuff that no longer worked and sent me on my way after asking again if I owned cats which they should have already known from previous visits. Came back shortly after and he asked yet again if I had cats (why keep asking if you make no note of it?) and basically did not help at all. I told him nothing in my life had changed many times but my symptoms had worsened hugely, he didn't care blamed the cats still. Tried a couple more times and finally he told me that since I had no cats (which i'd told him probably 50 times I do) that i needed to go to the emergency room my symptoms were not allergy related. After this I gave up on Dr. Chen the quack and visited Dr. Saunders also in Katy who took the time to sit down and listen to all the problems I was having for a long while, and on the FIRST VISIT properly diagnosed me after a CT scan as having allergic fungal sinusitis (chronic sinus infection) caused by allergies. This being said went to three ENT's for second opionions and had surgery to treat the disease. One visit is all it took to a good doctor to get this properly diagnosed after suffering with Dr. Chens poor judgement for years and having a horrible quality of life. Please I beg you to see a different doctor rather than Southwest Allergy they are horrible and will not diagnose you properly. I am living proof of how a horrible doctor can negatively impact your life don't make the same misake!
