Access Dental - Carmichael

This place is a major rip off. Called in this morning to make an appointment and was offered a $99 special for xrays,exam and cleaning. Got there and had the exam and the doctor said my teeth were in pretty good shape, as he went on, he said that he wouldn't recommend a deep cleaning and so forth and so on. After he left the room, the billing person came in and said that I NEEDED a deep cleaning and they wanted to charge me $150 for each section (4), when I corrected her, she said "let me check with the dentist", then they both came back and he said that I DID need it and that I misunderstood him. All in all, I went in for a chipped tooth and a deep cleaning and all they did was shave my chipped tooth (because they said it needs a crown) and REFUSED to give me my free cleaning that was supposed to be included in the $99 I spent. Three times he refused me a standard cleaning. I got home and contacted a different dentist office; they GUARANTEE a cleaning with the $100 I'm going to be paying for that session and was shocked when I told her the story of what happened at this place this morning. I DO NOT RECOMMEND going there, they are only about the MONEY. It's too bad the star rating for this doesn't go UNDER 1 because it deserves to be in the negatives. What a waste of time and money.!!!!!

Re:Access Dental. They are disorganized. They couldn't find my x-rays sent from another dental office, they didn't understand what procedures I wanted done, I had to wait for them to find data, and then they didn't have time to do dental work on me that day! I had to reschedule. I had several questions about billing and it took three phone calls and two visits to straighten the problem out. My dentist was good, but I wonder if it is worth the trouble to go there.

The place is clean but everyone is unorganized. I've been seen here a few times but don't use them anyone. Once, they lost my chart and I ended up waiting for 45 minutes before they even processed my paperwork. Then another time I had to call up regarding my bill and I called for weeks and the manager refused to take my call. The manager and doctors are all foreigners and don't understand English very well or speak it so its frustrating trying to communicate. They push services in order to use up your insurance and you can't get the same diagnosis no matter who you see. It's all about the money and not the patients. If you love your teeth and your money, don't go here!
