I am wondering what compositions would be preferred when contemplating the North Shore. What sort of images take you there and hold you? Is it the lake in all her glory? Are you more tuned in to the wildlife or do you prefer the boats and ships. How about all the streams and rivers that help make her so great? Is it the woods?
My personal favorite is the aroma of the North Shore. You can usually catch it as you pass by Thompson Hill on the far west side of Duluth. Something about the mix of woods, water and rocks that permeates the entire North Shore and sometimes a few miles inland. Of course I can't take a picture of that so my example isn't a good one.I am interested in all opinions please so lets be open and honest?
