I have been in the building industry for over twenty-five years. My first start in construction was in 1984 with the Carpenters Union three-year apprenticeship program. There I learned blueprint reading, Surveying, welding, metal and wood construction, varies stucco applications, siding products and their fastening methods, and the art of hanging and finishing drywall. The above teachings included reinforcement with on the job training through a verity of jobs and expert journeymen on houses and high-rise construction projects.
After completion of the intense training, my career was on its way to a higher level of learning and applying my teachings to a variety of impressive types of buildings such as the Hyatt Regency hotel in Sacramento. Many years past and all types of projects had started and completed. In the early nineteen nineties, the construction industry was down and with a new family on the way; I started working for myself as a repairperson for a versified type of project managers. For five years, the work included learning how to evaluate and repair minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and roof repairs. During this time on my own, I was able to obtain my two-year degree in Administration of Justice.
As faith would have it, things changed once again and it was back to the construction of homes and high-rises. After a few years, an opportunity became available to attend Butte College Building Inspection program allowing me to obtain my second two year degree and code knowledge. This gained me a position as a building inspector for a third party inspection company.
With all of the years passing and the knowledge obtained, brings me to the present and being able to start North Valley Home Inspections. With my background and knowledge, I am able to protect your peace of mind whether you are buying or selling a home.
