Dear Friends,

Yesterday a bill was just introduced to Congress that argues that the skills, the knowledge and the mindset learned by young people through their participation in entrepreneurship education programs are critical to their success in the 21st century.  The “Learn to Earn Act of 2011” (H.R. 3445), introduced by Congressman Dave Loebsack of Iowa, seeks to incentivize states, and local school districts, to implement high quality entrepreneurship programs in communities all across the country.

This bill will help spark even greater interest around the U.S. in arming our young people with the basic skills, the motivation and the aspiration to seize hold of their futures, stay in school and plan for successful futures. When young people learn to see opportunity in the face of obstacles and are equipped with the mindset of an entrepreneur, they are better prepared for the workforce, for higher education and to be the job creators of the future.

Here is your chance to speak up about inspiring young people from low-income communities to see their futures differently through entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurial mindset.

Contact your local representative and let them know that you think entrepreneurship education must be introduced to more people at a young age for their benefit and to support a more vibrant economy for generations to come.
