Grub
control is an important part of maintaining a healthy lawn. A lawn’s health starts with a strong root
system to choke out weeds and promote lawn growth. Grubs are larvae left behind by beetles and
other bugs that hatch in the soil and feed on the root system.
The damage from grubs to the root system
causes the lawn to turn yellow and brown and the grass on the surface while
start peeling back. The effects of grubs
could take several days to show on the surface.
Once grubs establish themselves, the affected areas must be removed and
reseeded because grub damage is largely irreversible. It is important to take preventative action
to avoid grub infestations and take necessary action to exterminate grubs once
a problem has been detected.
