Visited a local Community College to service Aflac policyholders and enroll new customers. The Director shared her skeptism of seeing the need for purchasing Aflac products (in particular the Cancer Plan) UNTIL her granddaughter was diagnosed with Leukemia. Her granddaughter was 4 when diagnosed. She is now 7 and doing great but had it not been for her daughter having an Aflac family plan, the family would have been financially devastated! The Director even admitted that she had encouraged her daughter to drop the plan due to going through a bitter divorce and in need of the extra cash. Luckily her daughter did not listen and continued paying the premiums. What she thought her daughter could not afford turned out to be something she could not afford to lose. That same director NOW encourages EVERYONE to purchase a cancer policy. She has seen first hand the thousands of dollars paid to her daughter during a very trying and stressful time in her life. The good news is this, Aflac wil continue to pay each time the child receives treatment or checkups!
 So glad that story has a happy ending. I was priviledged to see a picture of the beautiful brave young lady and she appears happy and healthy. I am personally thrilled the child continues with good health and I pray for her to continue. Aflac can not heal the individual, but it DOES take the financial stress off of the the individual and love ones. When the mind is free of financial stressors, the body responds to medical treatment more effectively! The child's mother was able to hold her daughter's hand throughout the ordeal knowing that her daily living expenses were in control and under the wings of Aflac.
