Arizona House of Graphix has been printing in Tucson for 20 years now, wow time flies! We have seen and helped many small business and continue to do so every day. Here are a few helpful hints to consider before coming to the shop to place your order: 1. Know your time frame. Many items we make require at least 3 days to complete, some take longer like full color signs or screen printed shirts. Give yourself ample time by ordering early, at least a week in advance for most things, two weeks in some cases, before you will need your finished product. 2. Have an idea of what you would like to say. Your content is your business information, what type of service you provide, your contact information, this is especially helpful for business cards and brochures. It is good to have a mock up of the material you would like printed and put some thought into what you want your finished product to look like before coming in to the shop. Also if you have a newsletter or type for us to set, its great to email us a word document with all of your typed and spell checked info. 3. Have your photos or artwork available to email to us or provide on a disc if you need something specific. If you just have a vision of a cloudy background on your business card, that is something our graphix dept can find for you. 4. Allow for variation. Many times the printing process, when creating ink on paper, will produce slightly different colors than what you see on a computer monitor. It is good to be flexible with your colors and understand the nature of the process, sometimes your green will be a bit darker or lighter, your skin will be a bit lighter or more tanned. it is the nature of the process. Sometimes the slight variation is unwelcomed and people reject orders and waste paper based on the slightest variation and that is considered overly picky and wasteful in the printing world. Please be flexible :] 5. Proofing your content. It is up to you the customer to carefully proofread your postcard or business card before we print it. Sometimes handwritten copy is hard to read and we do our best. When you proof your card before we print it be sure to carefully check all the spelling, once it is printed it is yours!
