Dancin Savvy
By 1Parent1 at Citysearch May 22, 2012
The owner of this studio is crazy. She will turn everything you say and twist it around. Don't bother to expect her to care at all about your opinion as you are just a stupid parent who doesn't understand ""the dance world"". Sadly, it is she that has no clue. No clue how to talk to people, no clue how to handle problems, and no clue how to run a business. \t\nShe says she's in it for the kids, but she's only in it for money. And maybe her kid...forget about anyone else. She will also not hesitate to talk about you behind your back and share any and all secrets she knows about you. It's sad and pathetic. \t\nShe is in her 40's, but acts like she is 15...no maturity in how she handles anything. ...read more

I have read some negative reviews on this page and I don't know where they are coming from. My daughter has been going to Dancin Savvy for a few years now and we LOVE them! Yes, there was some chaos with the last recital but I saw that as poor planning on the parents' fault. I got my tickets way in advance because that's what a responsible parent does. The studio and it's employees are amazing! I highly recommend it! ...read more

Tips For The Outdoors - Getting Back Is Essential!
In the outdoors it is important for us to prioritize our concerns. Under normal circumstances the concern with the highest priority in the outdoors is WATER. In someone's list of threes, (3 minutes without air, 3 days without water, 3 weeks without food) after emergencies, water is your biggest concern! The body tries to regulate it's temperature in HOT and COLD weather constantly. The easiest way we have to help this process is by consuming plentiful amounts of water. This allows the body to stay hydrated and manage the temperature of the core. Losing as little as 2% of body weight in water compromises overall judgement by 25%. Couple this with the stresses of an emergency and extreme hot or cold weather and your operating in the realm of a 50% diminished capacity! This is simply not good for survival. Wrong decisions cost lives! Simply drinking fluids till the urine is clear and copious is the best way of measuring how much is enough. If we rely on our thirst mechanism we will already be 1 - 1 1/2 quarts low. In hot weather this means you are already dehydrated and at risk for heat exhaustion or worse. Some people find it too hard to drink that much. Electrolyte additives like Vitalyte or Cytomax are a great way to help taste and ensure proper hydration and mineral balance. Remember, getting there is optional but getting back is essential! Stay hydrated. ...read more
