I took my dog in to the groomers here and they were all very nice. The young lady who groomed my puppy was phenomenal. Her name was Tanya and I would recommend her to anyone. After ordering a cage from Birdcages4less (part number PA5745), I was sent a different and less expensive cage (Part number GC14022w P)than I ordered AND it was DEFECTIVE--two cage sides were machine welded together making the cage unusable (see attached picture). I reported this issue to Birdcages4les (Shelley Dillen) with documentation and she promised in writing that they would pick up the cage and give me a "FULL refund once she verified that the shipping service had the cage in their possession." After the cage was picked up from my residence, I emailed Shelley and gave her tracking verification. THEN she changed her story saying "My apologize, as I stated on our calls this is the first time something like this ever happened. I did forward all of your email to our mgmt. team, they responded that the cage has to be received at our warehouse, inspected then the FULL refund will be issued." I put in a dispute with my credit card company. 60 days later still no contact or refund. Finally when I do hear my credit card company, Fred Elabed claims WE damaged the cage and would only refund $137 of a $649.95 charge. To date, I have received NO refunds ...read more

Variety is the spice of life. Why can re-upholstery provide variety as well? Our moods change and why not have your furniture be versatile to match your mood or the season change? As winter is cold and we want warm colors around us. When summer is hot and the mere sight of dark colors make us hotter and instinctively choose light airy colors. When there is sadness or chaos in our lives we choose solid colors to surround us yet when music sings in our heart patterned this flourish around us. This is my three fabric rule. 1) Choose a zen feeling fabric. A restorative light cleansing feeling fabric. 2) Choose a warm or interesting fabric that has some sort of personality in its pattern in print or weave. 3) Choose a stripe, dobby or subtle fabric that matches the other 2 independently or in harmony. Here is a big over stuffed comfy chair and ottoman we recently did for a client. She provided the main fabric Ikat design. We found the other 2 to put music into her piece and make fun arm cover and slip cover change outs. This client owns a dog and wanted to protect her furniture investment for many years. http://www.houzz.com/projects/166239 We went the extra mile. * We pre-washed her cotton Ikat fabric to preshrink it and make it so when she washed the pillow covers they continued to matched the upholstered work. * We over-locked the interior of all removable covers to add strength for many washings. *We covered the inside batting with a beautiful muslin so her covers would come on and off easily and there would never be any shifting of the stuffing over the years. When hiring an upholster consider what you want out of your investment before price. If you pay $450 for a chair and only get 3 years out of it you paid $150 a year for it's enjoyment. But if you paid $600 for that same chair and added a few extra touches your chair could last 15 or more years. That same chair cost you $40 a year not to mention it brought you get pleasure and joy which is priceless. Upholstery really is an opportunity for so much more that resuscitation.
